The type material was lost in WWII,\n it's been treated as a synonym of C. aeneus (now Osteogaster aenea,\n Least Concern) for most of the last 50 years, and its validity is\n still unresolved. No author\/year\n to credit in the species line since an L-number isn't a formal\n description, so that line is labeled differently - adjust if your\n CW-number template handles this some other way.\n - CORRECTION FROM JENNIFER: drop \"cf. margaritatus\" - it's not\n established usage for this fish, it's this hobbyist site's own\n reach, and I shouldn't have made it the primary name. This is\n Hypancistrus sp. (L136c), full stop, everywhere below now.\n - No IUCN or FishBase block: neither has an entry for L136c, since\n it's undescribed - no binomial, nothing to assess or catalog.\n - Dropped the IG BSSW resource block too, since its entire premise\n was the margaritatus comparison. Resources runs on PlanetCatfish\n and ScotCat only now - both solid, both use plain L136c\/L136\n naming.\n - CORRECTION FROM JENNIFER: the breeders are NOT for sale, and she\n bred these herself - it's not just \"acquired from Marcel\n Wuethrich,\" it's her own breeding work out of stock that traces\n to him. Paragraph 3 now opens with \"Bred here\" to say that\n plainly, and no longer calls the offspring \"juveniles.\"\n - No age\/size language in the story on purpose now: Jennifer wants\n this listing reusable across restocks without rewriting it every\n time the batch is a different size. \"Juveniles\" is gone from the\n visible copy entirely - that's what Breeding Status and the\n product's own size\/variant fields are for, not the story text.\n Paragraph 1's \"~3.5 inches at full size\" is adult max size as\n species background, not a claim about current stock, so it's\n fine to leave as-is.\n - Provenance: the PARENTS were acquired as breeding stock from\n Marcel Wuethrich (Roseline17). Checked - he's a real, established\n hobbyist breeder (ANGFA-NA bio, active on AquaBid with 400+\n transactions) and specifically named in hobbyist forums as a\n go-to source for L136c.\n - CARES status: I couldn't confirm one way or the other whether\n L136c or margaritatus carries a CARES priority listing - didn't\n want to assert \"No CARES listing\" without checking properly the\n way I could for the described species. Add a line if you know it\n carries one.\n - Photos note: paragraph 3 assumes photos show the actual fish for\n sale, not the parent group and not stock images.
